Return & Damaged Policy

While we strive for perfection with every order, and we really hope you enjoy each of your orders, we also understand that unforeseen issues may cause you to feel unsatisfied with your items. We are 100% happy to offer a refund on all of the goods in accordance with your legal “cooling off” rights which allow you to cancel your contract with us within 14 days of receiving the goods. Please see our terms and conditions for more details including instructions how to return goods in accordance with “cooling off” rights.

The returns policy below is not intended to restrict your legal “cooling off” rights if you cancel the contract within the 14 days. The policy below only applies if you haven’t legally cancelled the contract during the 14-days “cooling off” period but still want to return an item during our extended returns period which lasts until 28 days from your receipt of the goods.


Akoya will offer you a refund on unopened and unused items returned to us within our extended returns period (as explained above) provided they are in their original re-saleable condition. For hygiene reasons, we cannot offer refunds on items that have been used or opened. We will examine the returned goods. If in our discretion we consider that you have used or opened the goods, you will not receive a refund.

To return any items to Akoya during the extended returns period (where legal “cooling off” rights don’t apply), please follow these steps:

We will process your return as quickly as possible. If your return qualifies for a refund in accordance with this policy, we will notify you by email once your refund has been processed. Your refund will be made by the original or agreed payment method, no later than 14 working days after we have received the goods.

Please note that delivery charges are not refunded during the returns. If your order value after returning your items no longer qualifies for free shipping, delivery charges will be deducted from your refund. If you used a discount voucher and your order no longer qualifies, the voucher value will be deducted from your refund. If you received a free gift and your order no longer qualifies, the free gift must be returned or its value will be deducted from your refund.

If your return does not qualify for a refund, we will return it to you or destroy it, at our option.


Note that this returns policy doesn’t apply to faulty, damaged or wrong items.

We recommend that you inspect your entire order upon delivery. If an item arrives faulty, damaged or in error, please contact our customer service immediately by using the ‘Contact’ link in our Help page. You will be asked to return the damaged or wrong item in its original packaging if possible.

Your legal rights are not affected.
